The building in this picture was once the office of John Hancock. Johnny lives on the Boston Waterfront in Hancock's Wharf. Why do you think it was a wise choice for tradesmen like Mr. Lapham to live along the water?

I think it was a wise choice for Mr. Lapham to live along the water because people like John Hancock and Merchant Lyte are in that area frequently. If there in the area then they will also go to their business frequently. Also the merchants are more likely to make more expensive deals that would make a bigger profit for the tradesman.
This blog is a place for 10th graders at Prep Charter to post reflections and comments about the novel Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes.
